THE GLOBAL EVENT FOR FASHION PROFESSIONALS

Mauritian Textile Manufacturers showcasing their latest collection in Première Vision Paris from 13 to 15 February 2018

Mauritius has been participating in Première Vision (PV) Paris since 2009 to showcase the Mauritian textile ‘savoire-faire’ in view of creating new business opportunities and sustaining existing businesses. Première Vision is an internationally renowned event that takes place twice a year in Paris. It is a global event for fashion professionals enabling them to conceive and create collections.

A selective group of Mauritian textile companies have been trained and empowered since 2016 with the support of ‘Trend Stop’ and ‘Carlin Creative Trend Bureau’ to take stock of new trends on products, designs and colours under the Capacity Building Programme of Enterprise Mauritius now known as Trade & Export Office-Economic Development Board-Mauritius. The aim was to develop targeted collections to secure new customers. Subsequently, some textile companies which have benefitted from this programme have been selected to showcase their collection at Première Vision 2018.

To maintain the presence and visibility of ‘Mauritius as a reliable sourcing destination of Textile and Apparel products’ in Europe including France, the Trade & Export Office of the Economic Development Board Mauritius is consequently leading a delegation of 12 manufacturers at Première Vision Paris, to be held at Parc des Expositions, Villepinte. They will exhibit in hall 6 in dedicated sections namely Manufacturing and Knitwear Solutions. This event attracts buyers and other professionals mainly from France, UK, Italy and other parts of the world. More than 80% of the professionals visiting Première Vision are decision makers for brands, fashion accessories and home textile. Continued presence of Mauritius in this fair has affirmed the position of Mauritius as a reliable sourcing destination’ to the French buyers as well as the increasing number of international buyers.

The Mauritian exhibitors will leverage on this event to meet up with new buyers and renew contact with established ones. More information will be available at the desk of Trade & Export Office – EDB Mauritius at Première Vision, Hall 6 stand 6Y8.
